Getting Started
How do I get started with Ninth Cat?
Fill in the request form on our website or drop us a message on email, WhatsApp, or Instagram. We'll have a quick conversation about your goals and send you a quote - no commitment needed at that stage.
Do I have to pay anything upfront?
No. Ninth Cat works on a "pay when you love it" model - we start work and share drafts first. Payment is only due once you've reviewed and approved the deliverables, and before final files or a live website are handed over. You never pay blind.
What services does Ninth Cat offer?
We offer four core services: Logo & Branding, Website, Social Media Marketing, and Maintenance. Each can be purchased on its own or combined into a full brand bundle.
Can I get just a logo, or just a website - not the full bundle?
Absolutely. Every service is available individually. You can order a logo only, a website only, or any combination - you don't have to take everything at once.
How do I contact Ninth Cat?
You can reach us by email, WhatsApp, Instagram DM, or Discord. For project-related questions, email or WhatsApp tends to be the fastest.
I'm not sure which package I need. Can you help?
Yes - just message us and describe your business. We'll ask a few questions and suggest what makes sense for where you are right now. There's no pressure to buy everything at once.
Is there a minimum budget or project size?
There's no formal minimum. We work with early-stage founders and small businesses as well as more established brands. Share what you're building and we'll see if it's a fit.
Pricing & Payment
How much does a logo or website cost?
Pricing depends on the scope of your project and is confirmed in a custom quote. We don't publish fixed rates because no two projects are identical - but we'll always give you a clear number before any work begins.
When exactly do I pay?
For a single package, payment is due after you've reviewed and approved the deliverables, and before the final files or live site are handed over. For the full bundle, you pay at the end of each phase - Logo, then Website, then Social Media, then Maintenance - so you're always paying for work you've already seen and approved.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept PayPal, card payments via Buy Me a Coffee, and popular UPI methods including Google Pay and Paytm. For larger amounts, a direct bank or net transfer can also be arranged.
Is the price fixed once I accept a quote?
Yes. Once you accept a quote, the price is locked for the scope described in it. If you later request something outside that scope, we'll tell you upfront whether it changes the price before doing any additional work.
Are there any hidden fees?
No hidden fees. The only additional costs that might arise are things outside our control - like domain registration (billed at cost, confirmed before purchase) or third-party services you choose to use. We'll always flag these before you're charged.
Can I split payment into instalments?
For single packages, payment is one lump sum at approval. For the full bundle, payment is naturally split across phases - Logo, Website, Social Media, and Maintenance - so it never hits all at once.
What happens if I don't pay after approving the work?
If an invoice goes unpaid after a reasonable follow-up period, the work remains property of Ninth Cat. Any live website may be taken down and final files withheld until payment is received. This is covered in our Terms of Service.
Do you offer discounts or promotional rates?
Occasionally. Bundle packages are inherently better value than buying services individually. If you have a specific situation - like a non-profit or early-stage startup - feel free to mention it when you get in touch.
Services
What's included in the Logo & Branding package?
You get a custom logo with primary and icon versions, a color palette, typography selection, a favicon, and a starter social media kit - everything you need to show up consistently across platforms from day one.
What does the Website package include?
A custom-built site of up to five pages, fully mobile-responsive, with business email setup, domain and DNS configuration, basic SEO, and links to your social profiles. The site is built to work and look good on any device.
What does Social Media Marketing include?
Profile setup (or optimisation of existing profiles), hashtag and keyword research, a content pillar strategy, and launch-ready post templates - so you can start publishing consistently from day one.
Do you do e-commerce websites?
E-commerce functionality is outside the standard website package scope, but can be quoted separately. Reach out and tell us what you need - shop features, product listings, checkout - and we'll give you an honest answer on whether we can help.
Can you redesign my existing website?
Yes. Redesigns are treated similarly to new builds - we assess the current site, agree scope, and build from there. Depending on the situation, we may rebuild from scratch or work with your existing setup.
Do you write the content (copy) for my website?
We can help with copy framing and light editing, but the core written content - your business description, service details, about section - should come from you. You know your business best. We'll tell you exactly what we need.
Do you provide ongoing social media management?
The Social Media package sets you up with strategy and templates, but ongoing day-to-day posting is part of the Maintenance plan. If you need active management beyond templates, mention it and we'll discuss what's possible.
Can you set up a business email for me?
Yes - business email setup is included as part of the Website package. We configure it under your domain so you're emailing from your brand, not a generic Gmail address.
Do you do photography or video production?
No, photography and video production aren't services we offer. If your project needs original photography, you'd supply those assets - we can advise on what works best for your site layout.
Can you integrate third-party tools into my website (booking systems, forms, etc.)?
Many common integrations - contact forms, booking widgets, social feeds - are possible. Custom or complex integrations are assessed case by case and may be quoted separately. Tell us what you need and we'll confirm feasibility.
Process & Timeline
How long does the whole process take?
Timelines vary by package and how quickly we receive assets and feedback from you. A logo typically takes a few days to a week; a website somewhat longer. You'll get an estimated timeline in your quote - it's an estimate, not a guarantee, since creative work can occasionally shift.
What do you need from me before work begins?
Typically: your business name and what you do, any existing logos or brand assets, photos you want to use, your written content (for websites), any reference sites or visual directions you like, and your preferred contact details. The more we have upfront, the faster things move.
How do revisions work?
Each package includes a set number of revision rounds, which is communicated in your quote. You give feedback on drafts and we refine from there. Revisions should be submitted within a reasonable window after a draft is shared, so the project stays on track.
What if I need changes beyond the included revisions?
Additional revision rounds, or requests that substantially change the direction after approval, may be treated as out-of-scope and quoted separately. We'll always flag this before doing the extra work.
How do we communicate during the project?
We work primarily over email, WhatsApp, Discord, and Instagram. You can choose whatever's most comfortable. The fastest way to keep a project moving is to reply to drafts and questions promptly so nothing sits waiting.
How quickly do you respond to messages?
We aim to respond to project-related messages within a few business days. During active builds, we're typically much quicker. If something is urgent, WhatsApp is the fastest channel.
Will I see the work before it goes live?
Yes, always. We share drafts and previews throughout the process. Nothing is published or handed over without your explicit approval - that's the core of how we work.
What if I'm unhappy with the first draft?
That's what revision rounds are for. Give us specific feedback - what works, what doesn't, what direction you'd prefer - and we'll iterate. First drafts rarely look exactly like the final result; the revision process is where things get refined.
Can I pause or put my project on hold?
If you need to pause, let us know. Projects that go without contact for an extended period may be treated as abandoned under our Terms, but a quick message is all it takes to keep things alive. Just communicate - we're flexible.
Do you work weekends or evenings?
We're a small studio and our hours vary. We don't promise weekend availability, but we're often reachable outside typical office hours. Your project timeline accounts for realistic turnaround - we won't commit to deadlines we can't keep.
Websites
What platform do you build websites on?
We build custom sites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript - not page builders or templates. This gives you a fast, clean, fully custom result with no dependency on a monthly subscription to keep the site running.
Will my website work on mobile?
Yes. Mobile responsiveness is built into every site we deliver - not an afterthought. Your site will look and function correctly on phones, tablets, and desktops.
What if I already have a domain?
We'll connect your existing domain to your new site. Just let us know where it's registered and we'll handle the DNS configuration as part of the package.
What if I don't have a domain yet?
We can register one for you. Domain cost is billed separately at cost - the price depends on the name and extension you choose. We'll confirm the exact cost with you before purchasing anything.
Where will my website be hosted?
We configure hosting using services that are connected to accounts that belong to you (or transferred to your name at completion), so you always own and control your hosting. Ongoing renewal fees for hosting beyond the initial setup are your responsibility.
Will my website show up on Google?
Every website we build includes basic SEO - proper page titles, meta descriptions, clean structure, and fast loading. This gives you a solid foundation for search visibility. We don't guarantee specific rankings, since those depend on many factors beyond our control, but you'll start in good shape.
Can I update my website myself after it's built?
Yes. Since sites are built in standard HTML/CSS/JS, you can edit them if you're comfortable with code. If you'd prefer we handle updates for you, the Maintenance plan covers that.
Can I get more than five pages?
The standard package covers up to five pages. Additional pages can be added and will be quoted separately. Let us know what you need and we'll include it in your scope.
Do you set up Google Analytics or similar tracking?
Basic analytics setup isn't included as standard but can be added. If you want Google Analytics, Search Console, or similar tools connected, mention it when discussing your project and we'll confirm if it's in scope or quote it separately.
Ownership & Files
Who owns the logo and website after the project?
Once payment is complete, you own the final deliverables - your logo files, website code, and any content created specifically for your project. Until payment clears, work remains property of Ninth Cat.
What file formats will I receive for my logo?
You'll receive your logo in the formats needed for professional use - typically SVG (scalable vector), PNG (transparent background), and any other versions needed for your specific use case. Source files are included at handover.
Can Ninth Cat use my project in their portfolio?
Yes, we retain the right to showcase completed work in our portfolio and social media. If you need confidentiality - for example, you're launching under wraps - let us know in writing before the project begins and we'll respect that.
What happens to the work if I cancel mid-project?
If you cancel before any work has started, no payment is owed. Once work has begun, payment covers work already completed (you'll see exactly what's been done). Any completed deliverables are shared; unfinished work remains with Ninth Cat.
Are the fonts and images in my project licensed for commercial use?
We use fonts and assets appropriate for commercial use. However, third-party assets - like licensed stock photography or paid fonts - remain subject to their own license terms. We'll flag anything like this clearly so you know what applies to your project.
Will I get the source files (editable files) for my logo?
Yes. Source files are handed over as part of final delivery once payment is complete. You won't be locked into coming back to us every time you need a minor change.
Maintenance
What does the Maintenance plan cover?
Monthly website and social media health checks, audience targeting guidance, content updates, and fixes for bugs or glitches as they come up. It's designed so your site and social presence stay current without you having to manage it yourself.
Is the Maintenance plan required?
No. It's optional. Without it, you're responsible for keeping your website's hosting, domain, and any third-party integrations up to date. If that's fine with you, no problem - it's your call.
Can I cancel the Maintenance plan?
Yes, you can cancel at any time with notice. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period - you won't be charged for the next cycle after you cancel.
What if my site breaks and I don't have a maintenance plan?
You can still reach out to us - we're happy to help as a one-off. It would just be quoted and handled outside any plan. Having maintenance active means you're covered for exactly these situations without needing a separate conversation every time.
How often will you check in on my site under the Maintenance plan?
Monthly checks are the baseline, covering uptime, broken links, performance, and any needed updates. We'll flag anything that needs your input and handle routine fixes without bothering you for every small thing.
Policies
Can I cancel my project?
Yes. Cancel before any work starts and nothing is owed. Once work has begun, payment covers work already completed. You'll always know what's been built so far. Full details are in our Terms of Service.
Do you offer refunds?
Because you approve work before paying, refunds aren't typically applicable - you only pay for work you've reviewed and confirmed. If something genuinely isn't right, talk to us and we'll work it out.
Is my business information kept confidential?
Yes. Business details you share - financials, internal plans, unreleased products - are kept confidential and used only to deliver your project. If you need a formal NDA before we begin, just ask and we'll arrange one.
What types of projects won't you take on?
We won't work on projects that are illegal, fraudulent, deliberately misleading, hateful, or that infringe on someone else's trademarks or copyright. This includes sites built to impersonate another business or misrepresent who you are to your customers.
Who needs to be 18 or older to work with you?
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. You're also responsible for providing accurate information about yourself and your business.
Do you guarantee sales or search engine rankings?
No. We build with care and best practice, but we don't guarantee specific business outcomes like sales, traffic, or search rankings. Design and development create the foundation - results depend on many factors beyond the deliverables themselves.
What are your Terms of Service?
You can read the full Terms of Service at ninthcat.art/terms.html. They cover everything from payment and revisions to ownership, confidentiality, and cancellation.
What happens to my domain if I stop working with Ninth Cat?
Your domain belongs to you - not Ninth Cat. We'll set you up so renewals and management sit in your own name. You can take it elsewhere at any time, and we'll assist with the handover if needed.
Can you sign an NDA before we discuss my project?
Yes. A mutual non-disclosure agreement is available on request before a project begins. Just ask when you reach out and we'll have one in place before any sensitive details are shared.
What happens if there's a dispute?
Our first approach is always a direct conversation - most things can be resolved quickly by talking it through. If something can't be resolved informally, our Terms of Service cap liability to the amount paid for the project in question. We'd always rather solve things amicably.

We're here to help.
